Criminals Cutting cables: In the past few months, criminals have been cutting cables that have caused catastrophic outages for many regional Internet provider companies. Even the global Internet Service Provider (ISP) Star-link, has had a software glitch that has caused service interruption. When a cable is cut whether from vandalism, accidental construction, or some other means, to a national telecommunication provider, it can cause major sporadic outages to regional internet service providers. Interruptions of this sort are the responsibilities for the national telecommunication providers to resolve and leaves local ISP’s (such as Cybertime) powerless to support their clients.

Results of internet interruptions: ISP companies are fully aware of the consequences when internet services are interrupted. Commercial clients are unable to conduct their business; residential clients are unable to pay bills, connect to medical devices, stream TV channels, or connect to their office while working from home. Any interruption with an internet connection in these days is unacceptable and can have severe affects.

Cybertime’s Private Network: Understanding the need to get connected and stay connected to the internet, Cybertime has built a secure, private network with battery back-ups, stand-by generators, redundant routing of traffic, software to prevent hackers, all designed to keep clients connected in the event of power outages, equipment failures, wildfires, criminal hackers, and other possible causes.

Cybertime’s Solution: The engineers at Cybertime are busy implementing redundant upstream connections from various sources.  As this system is implemented, some clients may be contacted to make the necessary adjustments to their equipment. Once fully installed, if any further upstream connection is interrupted, connections will automatically be routed to our back-up feeds.

Cybertime’s Gratitude: From all of us at Cybertime, we cannot express enough how grateful we are for all our clients and neighbors who continue to support our local company during these criminal acts. Be assured, we are working hard to counter such interruptions to your internet service to keep you connected. These past few events will only make our secure, private network and your internet service even better.
